Bollywood actor Malaika Arora’s stepfather, Anil Mehta, died on September 11, 2024. The reports said that a 62-year-old man killed himself. This news has left his family in grief, and the film fraternity along with his relatives is shocked with this news. According to the initial report, Mehta jumped off the sixth-floor balcony of his residential place in Bandra, Mumbai.
The Circumstances Surrounding Anil Mehta’s Death
The incident took place on Wednesday morning, around 9 a.m., at “Ayesha Manor,” where Anil Mehta stayed with his wife, Joyce Polycarp, the mother of Malaika. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. Police are yet to confirm, but they suspect he took his life since there was no suicide note. Indeed, the investigation is ongoing.

Funeral and Last Rites
The last rites of Anil Mehta were performed at a Hindu crematorium in Santa Cruz on 12 September 2024. Close friends and family joined in, including Malaika’s ex-husband Arbaaz Khan and their son Arhaan Khan, along with Malaika’s current partner Arjun Kapoor.
