Lightning and rain had almost made the night of October 14, 2024, an almost spectacular display as Chennai city and its adjoining areas were drenched in heavy rains. The RMC in Chennai has announced an “orange alert” since more rain is in the offing in the coming days. The IMD has observed that incessant heavy rain would continue to the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and advice people to desist from traveling unless absolutely necessary.
