Saudi Arabia Breaks Ground on the Mukaab, the World’s Largest Building Project in Riyadh

Under ambitious plans known as Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia hopes to change Riyadh into something else with Mukaab, a big skyscraper in the shape of a 400 meters cube that will be the largest in the world. The Mukaab will have a twisting central tower with a full-height atrium to generate an innovative internal environment, including holographic technology, augmented reality, and advanced digital displays. Features of the New Murabba District

The New Murabba development will have over 100,000 residential units, 9,000 hotel rooms, and 980,000 square meters of retail space. There will also be 1.4 million square meters of office space, in addition to 1.8 million square meters for community and recreational facilities, which could include museums, theaters, and event spaces. This location is planned to be accompanied with a self-contained transport and situated near the airport in Riyadh, so access shall be very convenient.
