The recent missile attacks on Haifa simply attest to how fragile the ceasefires and the peace deals are in the Middle East. With Hezbollah soon to challenge Israel’s defenses and more so with what is now happening in Gaza, the whole region stands at a great risk of war in all its senses. While demanding restraint, the international community is divided on the best way to handle the violence.
Since these are unlivable conditions, it is impossible for those who live in Haifa and the like to predict the future. Now, hopefully, lasting peace must be found through either militarily or diplomatically, bringing endurable peace to a city that has borne so much fighting.
